I got on a roll putting up the photos from the Magnolia Rouge shoot this morning so thought I would get on and do the winter elopement shoots we did here last year with our elopement photographer Clare Kinchin, our elopement florist Amanda Randell and our preferred elopement hair and make up duo, Jodie and Chloe from The Hair Lounge Tavistock and Jess from Visage Aesthetics. A few weeks ago we did another food & drink shoot here on site with our favourite food photographer, Guy Harrop. This time I brought our chefs from our outside caterers together with Jan, the owner of Maddocks Organics edible flower farm, to put together some ideas and inspiration we could pass on to our couples for their wedding reception food using edible flowers from Jan’s farm. Honeysuckle scones and whole roses in this seasons must-have dessert, the edible flower jelly were my personal favourites. Click here to download our list to inspire you for your own wedding. Catherine has helpfully included comprehensive instructions for each drink so you can mix them at home and play around with the recipe to make it truly personal. So go on, give your guests something unexpected that reflects the location and ties in with your wedding style…

You may have seen photos from our last photo shoot here in May. This week a super talented team of West Country wedding professionals pooled their talents to transform our venue into a sparkly, twinkly, super glam space for a wedding. We had the lovely Elle from Inspire Hire who brought along her ghost chairs and her white bubble furniture and lots of gorgeous accessories which added a cool, contemporary look. Elle pulled everything together and it was her vision and her incredibly hard work that made it all happen. Ghost chairs and bubble furniture from Inspire Hire The award winning photographer Emma Solley was the mistress of photography. It’s amazing to watch Emma work, she is so focused AND so lovely – a winning combination and couples who have her photographing their wedding are very lucky. Photographer: Emma Solley.
