A couple of years ago I worked with the lovely Abigail McKenzie on a photo shoot here at Ever After. Abigail designed and hand painted my favourite ever aisle runner – and people still love that photo today:
So I was thrilled to see that Abigail has set up a new bespoke stationery and wedding design business Dearly Beloved Design.
Abigail met her partner Ben at university where they were both studying illustration. The couple joined forces personally and professionally and run Dearly Beloved Design together. Their design background is at the heart of everything they do – every piece starts with a hand drawn sketch. We love the idea that everything is hand-crafted by the two of them for a truly bespoke “just for you” service.
Abigail and Ben love mid-century design which comes out clearly in this hand-painted floral design, perfect for a modern garden wedding:
Abigail sees the ideal clients for Dearly Beloved Design as a couple who want to celebrate themselves. “Movie poster inspired? Sounds good! Summer camp themed wedding? Yes, go for it! Your wedding is a celebration of your lives together.” says Abigail.
Mid-century design is really taking off in weddings according to Abigail summed up by, “Block shapes and off beat graphic patterns alongside a well tailored suit and an elegant simple wedding gown” perfectly illustrated here in their “London mid-century” design:
If you’re looking for a modern hand-crafted, design-led, bespoke wedding stationery service, pop over to Dearly Beloved Design today and get in touch about your design desires!
