Wedding trends 2015 part 5: sequins

Love My Dress, Sarah Dawson of Perfect Wedding, The Cake Blog and The Knot are all talking about sequins as a wedding trend for 2015.

Sequins are a great way of adding a touch of glamour and sparkle to any wedding and you can use as much or as little as you like according to your own taste.

Adding sequins to your bridesmaids dresses is an easy way of bringing in the sequins and will certainly let your bridesmaids stand out on the day.

I particularly loved the bridesmaids in the mix and match skirts and sequin tops above, they bring in two trends in one, metallics AND sequins.

You can also use sequins in other aspects of your wedding decor, table cloths or table runners are a way of bringing the sparkle to your table settings.

And of course there’s the bridal frock to scatter with sequins.   With designers such as Jenny Packham and Temperley Bridal having sequins as part of their signature look, there’s a great selection from full-on top to toe sequins to the more subtle sprinkling that just catches the sunlight during the day and dazzles at night under candlelight.

In case you’re wondering whether sequins can work in a rural wedding setting, this selection below proves that they absolutely do!   The contrast of the rustic with the glam is just the look we love here at Ever After, I think each one is enhanced by the other and for me, the look is irresistible.
