What to expect from your elopement Chef

As you may already know, during the winter we hold elopement weddings (you can read more about them here). Included in our elopement package are your flowers, photography, wedding cake, and 3-course meal for two. Plus a 2-night stay in our fabulous honeymoon cottage, and all the styling bits and bobs you’ll need. Whilst it is an all-inclusive deal (if you like), each one is uniquely tailored to you.

Over the next couple of posts, I’ll be exploring each aspect of our elopement weddings and how we create individual weddings for our individual couples. First up, our elopement Chef, Harrie.

A word from the Chef

Harrie (Boo to a Goose) is not only queen of miniature wedding cakes, she is also queen of 3-course elopement meals and canapés (quite a lady). Here is what you can expect from our talented elopement Chef…

“Your wedding breakfast and cake are a really important part of your big day so I’m always keen to ensure you have what YOU want. On first connecting with you, I send seasonal menus for you to look at and I ask if you have any cake ideas in mind. Some couples love the menus and know exactly what they want. Some couples however request a bespoke menu to be created whereby we work together to make a unique menu around whatever the couples favourite foods our. For example a lovely couple to marry this march love going to Entrecôte for steak frites so i’m recreating their favourite meal for their wedding breakfast. I have another couple who met over fish and chips so yes…you guessed it – fish and chips is on the menu for their big day.

When it comes to the cake I like to think I can create whatever your heart desires. maybe you saw your dream cake on Pinterest ? Or maybe you are undecided on design but know you absolutely don’t want fondant…no problem!! Everything is bespoke to you, your ideas and your big day so we work together to get it exactly as you imagine!”

I could write about how wonderful Harrie’s cakes are until I’m blue in the face. But, as that is really not a good look, have a look at some pics instead!

As you can see from all these lil cakes, each one is made bespoke for each elopement wedding.   Which one is your fave?
