In light of all this chaos and madness we are sadly closed for viewings until further notice. BUT! we don’t like to leave anyone hanging for too long so we are bringing our venue straight to your screens! Hurraaaaah!
I’ll be sharing with you a series of pictures to show you around the venue.
Round every corner there is a glorious surprise…
What I adore about the venue is the many levels within the garden. You have the ponds on the top lawn (perfect for the arrival drinks in the summer sun!), which flows down into the licensed wedding barn. To the right (from the barn) there is the beautiful raised orchard, where we have planted fruit trees and wild flowers. To the left, arbour lined steps lead you down into the the big reveal…Our beautiful oak and glass structures which move into our bespoke marquee. The marquee has the ability to open up on sunny summer days onto a lawn bordered by rhododendrons. When you are on each level the landscape makes it difficult to see into the next…(intentional!)…this makes for the PERFECT private set up.
You can walk through your day (champagne in hand) with change of scenery and style…your guests won’t feel cooped up or bored by spending 10 hours in one place. And I haven’t even mentioned our river walk or glade walk yet!! For me (hopefully you too) this makes for a dream venue – it’s a hidden away gem.
Enough of the yap… Here is an insight into our little slice of heaven…
First stop – the ponds
Fed by a natural spring, the ponds are the feature of our lovely top lawn…
Where the magic happens
The wedding barn is our licensed structure. In other words, exchange your vows and legally get married under our oak beamed barn – what more could you want?!
Dress it like you dress yourself – how YOU want.
We want you to have your wedding the way you want it. So, go crazy with flowers on one of our arches or get a wonderful florist to create a flower curtain…go crazy – you’ll only do this once.
River Walk
The river walk is hands down one of my favourite places (maybe in the world?!). The river busying past as the breeze tickles the willow tree – a place where nature slows for no one and you can just be. It’s a setting you can’t recreate anywhere else, a unique and lovely place for photos. But more importantly, a-little-together-moment away from your loved ones to just exhale and be with one another. It is, after all, your special day.
The Terrace
Unique to us, our oak and glass houses make for an ambient and magical place to spend your day. Both are lined with flower beds which we plant with seasonal flowers and foliage. The first of the two has a fireplace surrounded by comfy-but-snazzy sofas and a rocking chair (normally occupied by a grandad with a glass of red wine).
The second structure is home to the copper-topped bar. It’s dashing. We love it. You will too.
Pit stop!
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate our fire pits. A fire pit is great for many reasons – guests toasting marshmallows and sharing a giggle, a little of warmth once the sun sets, or a DMC amidst a drunken huddle.
We have one on our river walk…
and the other sits just outside the marquee on the terrace.
The Marquee
We don’t like to compromise on aesthetics here at Ever After, so we made a bespoke marquee that feeeeeeels like luxury (PLUS we have a sparkly dance floor – what more could you want?!) This is where the wedding breakfast is held, we have an option of round tables or rectangular – and can sit a maximum of 120 people.
Lower Lawns
Fancy a game of croquet? Maybe a game of giant jenga? If that doesn’t tempt you, maybe a tipsy snooze in the sun on our giant deck chair? Our garden games give hours of entertainment to your guests – a great way to keep them occupied and break up the day in the in-between times.
Our Orchard
This is a great place for an outside ceremony if thats what you desire. However there is no structure to licence amongst our apple trees so you can’t legally get married there. There are ways around this, you could do the legal bit before and exchange vows in front of your loved ones under an arch standing in our orchard.
