41 great reasons to follow us on Pinterest…

I love Pinterest…

Aside from the danger of losing hours (days!) to scrolling through so many gorgeous wedding ideas, it’s a fantastic tool for couples planning their wedding. This is true whether you have a clear idea of exactly what you want and need pics to convey those ideas to suppliers or whether you feel you’re floundering around in a tulle fuzz of whether you should really have a theme, do you need a wedding colour, what about traditions and sinking under so many ‘should haves’.

I have 41 wedding related boards on Pinterest (I just surprised myself with that one!) and (as of this minute) 5,688 pins.

I told you I loved Pinterest…

With autumn now truly announcing its arrival, I thought I’d take a look at one of my favourite boards, The Wedding Dress with Cardis

Despite our unpredictable weather you still don’t see many brides wearing a cardi but as you can see from this board, they can look fantastic! All kinds of colours from duck egg blue, champagne, pale lemon or sage green through to fushia pink and scarlet work well. And cardis are perfect for all styles whether it’s rose print for a bit of vintage, superchic handmade mohair or a pop of colour for a totally on-trend look.

Here are a couple of my personal favourites:

Using natural yarns Makepiece hand knits gorgeous eco-chic shrugs and cardis to keep off the chill and still feel bridal.

This rose print cardi is a lovely relaxed counterpoint to this bride’s traditional bridal skirt and creates a totally different look:

And finally the iconic pics of Kiera Knightley in the palest of blue gowns with duck egg blue wrap over cardi, it doesn’t get better than that…

Are you wearing a cardi for your wedding?
