Guests arrived at 1pm for Amy and Nick’s super sunny wedding, and enjoyed a choice of pimms, sparkling elderflower, or bottle beer, before being ushered to their seats for the wedding ceremony at 2pm.
They had a beautiful ceremony and with the sunshine on their side, all guests were able to sit outside and fulfil Amy’s ‘wedding dream’.
Amy and Nick had a purple and foliage theme running through their day, focussing on the natural surroundings of Ever After. Liz from the Flower Gallery in Liskeard supplied the flowers, and the aisle flowers doubled-up as the wedding breakfast table centrepieces. She also created a floral arch for the ceremony which was then moved down as a garland for the top table.
Amy wore the stunning 675 by Martina Liana, which was a fitted ivory lace dress with a low open back and the most fantastic cathedral train.
After the ceremony, guests were guided down to the lawns where they had their confetti throw, and were then served with a choice of prosecco, sparkling elderflower, bottled beers, (keg of) lager, or (a keg of) ale. Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés during the drinks reception, including; red onion & parmesan croute, tiny sausage & wholegrain mustard mash, tiny smoked haddock fishcakes, tiny cottage pie fritters, crispy fried duck served on teaspoons.
Their wedding breakfast took place at 4.15 pm and consisted of a starter of either scotch egg and pea shoot salad, or breaded goat’s cheese with marinated grilled vegetables. Followed by a main course of either beef rib tip and clotted cream mash with a red wine sauce, or wild mushroom stroganoff and sticky rice. Then came the dessert of chocolate truffle cake, clotted cream, and edible flowers, before the speeches commenced.
At 7pm guests were invited to the terrace where tea and coffee was served, before Amy and Nick cut their ‘cheese cake’ and had their first dance at 8pm.
Guests were entertained for the evening by The One Night Band, and served an evening buffet of hot pasties and a selection of cheeses from their ‘cheese cake’. Amy and Nick provided a ‘free bar’ for the evening, and served red & white wine, gin and tonics, rum and coke, plus whatever was left in the kegs from the reception drinks.
