stylish jenny packham gown for a garden wedding
Charlotte and Luke were married here in August. Prosecco was served on arrival before the ceremony along with tiny savoury tarts and mini scones with jam and cream. There was a bit of drizzle as guests took their seats for the wedding ceremony so umbrellas were distributed but the weather brightened up after a couple of minutes and the ceremony carried on in the dry.
Charlotte wore a stylish Jenny Packham gown and had a gorgeous wild bouquet by Deborah from Dartmoor Flowers. Charlotte walked into the ceremony through the waterfall garden after her bridesmaids and with her little daughter as adorable flower girl and her 9 year old son as one of the most organised best men I’ve ever seen.
After a confetti throw on the upper lawns, guests moved to the lower lawns for a drinks reception with a Bellini station to ‘pimp’ the prosecco, a choice of bottled beers, bottled cider and a keg of ale from New Bristol Brewery. Photographer Matt Austin took the bride and groom off to the woods for some lovely couple portraits by the river.
Charlotte & Luke used our salvaged window to write their table plan and the marquee was set up for the wedding breakfast with round tables dressed with silver grey table linen, ghost chairs and bud vases of flowers provided by Dartmoor Flowers. The wedding breakfast started with scotch egg & black pudding with herb salad, followed by sharing boards of grilled rump steak, corn fed chicken legs, pork belly, tiger prawns & duck rillette (with veggie options!) finished off with a selection of mini desserts; tiny berry cheesecakes; tiny creme brûlées, tiny chocolate pots, Eton mess, and passion fruit tart.
After speeches guests made their way outside for tea and coffee. The honesty bar opened and the evening band, The Supers, played the first dance. In between sets, evening food of tiny fish & chips in cones, tiny burgers & chips and homemade margarita pizza, as well as the ‘cheese wedding cake’ by Bon Gout were served.
