Mid-week summer elopements
As you’ll know if you’ve looked through the website, we offer winter elopements on Monday and Thursdays. You can get more details of our winter elopements here and also download the brochure here directly from the website. We’ve never done summer elopements – until now.
We’ve had a few enquiries recently for summer elopements and although we don’t take advance bookings for them because of our summer wedding commitments, I started to wonder about our remaining mid-week summer dates where we don’t have a big Wednesday wedding booked.
So that’s the point of this post – to give you the dates for our 2018 summer elopement weddings. The dream winter elopement team can now offer a limited number of summer elopements for this summer only.
Are you ready for those dates? They are:
July 2018
4th and 18th
August 2018
15th and 22nd
September 2018
12th, 19th and 26th
Do any of those sound like your wedding date? You get the full winter elopement package – but in the summer, how fab is that?
So you arrive on a Tuesday, any time from 2pm, make yourselves at home in the honeymoon cottage. The following day, on Wednesday get married in the wedding barn at 1pm or 1.30pm either just the two of you or with up to 8 guests, have your photos taken by the lovely Clare Kinchin our elopement photographer. After photos, champagne and canapes, our private chef will serve your wedding breakfast on our covered terrace.
Our elopement florist is none other than Tavistock’s very own Chelsea Gold Medal winning florist Amanda Randell who will create a bouquet just for you.

You get exclusive use of the entire venue – yes, even if it’s just the two of you. The only other people here are Steven and I as we live here (I know it’s a tough gig but someone has to do it). The gardens, the lawns, the riverwalk, the glade walk are entirely yours for the day. You can see the venue laid out here on our map:
You can retire to the honeymoon cottage for another night of luxury and then wake up the next morning as newly marrieds, ready to start your new lives together. Breakfast on your private deck, take another wander round the gardens – no need to rush, check out isn’t til midday.
This is a one off deal by the way, we’re not offering this opportunity next year as we’re changing up our mid-week offering COMPLETELY! We’ll no longer be offering the same weddings on Saturdays and Wednesdays, the Wednesdays will be a completely different package from next year – details to follow soon I promise.
