Elopement film
Ah we do love an Ever After elopement film – it’s such a great way to treasure all the memories of your special day. Kick back on the sofa in years to come and relive all those moments. Lovely.
Baxter + Ted are our recommended wedding film makers, we think they’re ace at what they do plus Caroline & Chris are super lovely people. As film is an added extra to our ready made elopement package, Baxter + Ted don’t guarantee to do all our dates (unlike our other suppliers included in the main package) so if Caroline & Chris aren’t available for your date or if you just prefer to bring in your own people, that’s not a problem, just let us know.
You need to be patient for a Baxter + Ted elopement film. Caroline is the film editing Queen and she takes her time to cut the film, add the music and words and create the perfect film of your day. That takes a while so there’ll be a few months to wait after your wedding for the finished film to land with you. It’ll be worth it I promise.
Sama & Jamal
Sama & Jamal got married with us in May 2022. No guests, just the two of them. They hired Sally Ingle a specialist wedding celebrant of Soul Connection Ceremonies to marry them on the riverwalk here at Ever After. Of course we had a plan B back up as always if the weather was wet but on the day, it was perfect. We set up space for them on the riverwalk underneath the willow tree. Of course we provided the legal witnesses as they had no other guests. All part of the service.
Let’s look at some old school stills of their day from Clare Kinchin, our elopement photographer before we dive into their gorgeous elopement film…
Getting ready
The couple got ready separately so they didn’t see each other’s wedding outfits before the ceremony, Sama in the cottage and Jamal in the annexe.
Sama’s request to our florist Amanda was for whites, green & yellow and there HAD to be daisies. So there are white peonies, yellow billy balls (craspedia), lime green snowballs (viburnum opulus Roseum), white lisianthus and of course the requested daisies.
The ceremony
Sama walked down to the lower lawns from the cottage and entered the riverwalk to walk towards her groom
Personal vows were read to each other during the ceremony and yes there were tears – from everyone.
and then celebrations with alcohol free champagne and throw-your-own confetti. Don’t worry about not being able to have confetti if you have no guests, I love a couple confetti throw, such cute pics.
Post ceremony
After a quick breather (yay we got married!) it was into the woods for photos by the river and the woodland
I know right? Aren’t these photos just amazing?
Back to base
After the couple portraits it was back to the terrace where we were all set up with their sweethheart table and lil cake table. Dressed in cool silver grey and white linens with touches of gold and silver and crystal glassware, this elegant table was perfect for two.
The cake table was set up in the background. Again dressed in silver grey and white table linen, our glass cake stand allowed this little single tier white choc & raspberry (yes you heard that right, how delish does that sound?) to be the star of the show. The cake was decorated with a touch of faux bark and hand crafted sugar paste leaves. Pretty special huh?
Ok so now I’ve given you a teaser of what to expect, let’s get to the elopement film…enjoy. Oh and bring tissues, you’ll definitely need tissues.
