If you are (like me) a flower lover, then there are a few extra ways you can incorporate flowers into your big day. Over the last 4 posts we’ve covered the basics. Bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony flowers, centrepieces… But the fun doesn’t end there.
Extra Marquee Flowers
Any frequent Ever After blog visitor will be familiar with the floral arrangements we had last summer (because I haven’t stopped going on about them, and I probably won’t). Sarah & Josh and Zoe & Ben both had magnificent hanging floral arrangements as something ‘extra’ in the marquee. It’s not a key thing, and your wedding will still look beautiful without them, but they really are wow. So, if you can, I would…

Hair Flowers & Flower Crowns
On a (much) smaller scale, you could add a few flowers into your hair design. Either as part of your up-do, or as a flower crown (on yourself, or even bridesmaids). A sweet finishing touch to your overall ‘look’.

A Corsage
Ordinarily, corsages are saved for the mothers and any other significant females who don’t have bouquets. But, something we hadn’t come across before (until Penny paved the way) was a bride’s corsage. Penny had the most incredible rose strapped to her wrist, which meant she had flowers with her all day, even when she wasn’t carrying her bouquet. It looked stunning, particularly with her lace dress. Such a simple yet effective idea!

Additional Decorative Flowers
Recently at Ever After we’ve seen a few other ways of incorporating flowers into the wedding day. Things like dressing signs or table plans with flowers. Or even something extra creative like Felicity did back in May… A teacup candle arbour filled with flowers! It sat on the registrar table and was a fabulous & unique idea which reflected their overall ‘theme’ for the day perfectly.
