Seeing Amy & James’s wedding recently featured in Wed Devon magazine (see my previous post here) got me thinking about all the different places we have here at Ever After for photos and I started looking at how different photographers have their own take on the same location.
I looked at some of our woodland couple shots taken here in Grenofen Woods and I realised you get not just those gorgeous shots by our Dartmoor river or in the trees (which I’m sure you’ll agree are epic!) but the shots of walking to the location and such cute pics of a bride in wellies. This is definitely a reminder that if you want those woodland wedding photos, do come prepared and bring wellies as there are a few little streams in the woods which add to the magical feel of the woodland but are definitely not suitable for your prized wedding Choos…
Here we have Amy & James stood on the rocks in the river Walkham, a quintessentially Dartmoor backdrop – our bride Amy was super intrepid and no lil river was going to stop her getting these great shots:
Matt of Matt Austin Images photographed Debbie & Jamie’s wedding here this year and took these gorgeous shots of Debbie & Jamie by the side of the river, on the footpath and by the old stone wall so no need to go off piste for Debbie but the feel of Dartmoor is perfectly captured. I think these images bring a real sense of timelessness…
I also like these next two photos of our moss covered stone wall – same place, different couple, different photographer…
So bring your wellies, give a heads up to your photographer to bring theirs too and get yourselves some photos worthy of lasting a lifetime…
I’ve got some blog posts in the pipeline about other great places for photos with some more comparisons of same place, different photographer.
Take a look at Ben and Matt’s websites for more examples of their wedding photography. Both Ben and Matt do other forms of photography (Ben with surf photography and Matt with portraits) which I think brings an added aspect to their wedding work.
