May 2023 elopement bouquet review
So now we’re open for the second half of the elopement summer season, we’re looking back at the elopements we had here in May 2023 and focusing on some of the details for you. Today it’s the bridal bouquet and when you use it throughout your wedding day. So sit back and get comfy for this May 2023 elopement bouquet review – it’s a long one.
You’ll always see the bridal bouquet in the gallery for each elopement wedding we feature over on the real elopements gallery page but in this long form post you’ll see a lot more shots of each bouquet for each elopement featured and how the bouquet is used during the day. Hopefully it’ll help you to visualise your own wedding here and how it would work for you.
Madelaine & Steve
First May elopement this year was Madelaine & Steve who got married in the first week of May. The flower colours chosen were peach, pale pink, pale blue and white.
Let’s follow the bouquet on its journey through an elopement wedding day.
Here’s the bouquet outside on the balcony of the honeymoom cottage
then photographed inside,
a close up of the bride’s & bridesmaid’s bouquets
in the cottage before the ceremony
getting ready to walk into the ceremony
walking into the ceremony with your dad
on the Registrar’s table for the signing
the announcement shot – yay!
followed by the confetti shot…
then your couple shots in the garden
and finally taking its place as the central bouquet on the table
Frankie & Jack
Next up were Frankie & Jack Their colours of reddy raspberry pinks, purple and gold were dictated partly by Frankie’s beautiful embroidered veil which represented the family’s brewing history.

Just arrived at the wedding barn for the ceremony
The bouquet on the Registrar’s table for the signing of the Register
and the walk out after the ceremony
and then outside for those all important couple portraits
after couple portraits onto the wedding breakfast table for the centrepiece – it’s all go if you’re an Ever After bouquet!
Charis & Nathan
Charis & Nathan who also got married with us in May 2023 requested greens, whites, neutrals with rustic touches.
in the cottage before the ceremony
walking out after the ceremony with 2 of their 4 guests
outside for couple shots
and family shots
and bridal detail shots
and then over to the wedding breakfast table to be the centrepiece
Pippa & Ben
Pippa & Ben were married mid-May 2023 and their request to our florist Jodie was for emerald/forest green with a rust/burnt sienna. So here we go…
First in the cottage placed by Clare on the window sill for an overhead shot – look at those yummy colours
Pippa & Ben had a first look on the cottage balcony before the ceremony and of course the bouquet was there for that moment
walking into the wedding ceremony together
under the ceremony arch waiting for things to start
a beautiful detail shot really showcasing those stunning copper beech leaves
on the Registrar’s table for the signing of the schedule (not called the Marriage Register any more, digital progess and all that)…
and the confetti shot
followed by champagne to celebrate in the garden
pics with your new spouse and your dog
and bridal detail shots
and finally in a vase on the table as the centrepiece – it’s non stop if you’re an Ever After bridal bouquet
Sarah & Adrik
Then it was Sarah & Adrik They asked our florist Jodie for vibrant, yellow, pink, blue and orange – oooh yes.
in the cottage before the ceremony
Stood in the wedding barn waiting for proceedings to begin
walking out after the ceremony – yay!
that first glass of champagne
walking down to the terrace – you’re married!
out in the gardens for couple shots
and pics with your dog
and woodland bridal shots
and the bouquet having its own little private moment outside
ready for its close up
and into the vase for its role as table centrepiece
ta da!
Eve & Karl
Eve & Karl had an outdoor ceremony for their elopement with us at the end of May 2023. They asked our florist Jodie for an eclectic mix – wild hedgerow, with no one dominant colour and not to mix pale blue and lavender purple. They also wanted an antler included in the bouquet and ideally wanted sage green, mustard & purple. Ok got it. Did we deliver? Lemme know…
First view of the bouquet in the cottage before the ceremony, wild flowers and antlers – yep, tick.
in the cottage held by the bride for the first time
close up outside before the ceremony
waiting to walk into the ceremony with your men
walking into the actual wedding ceremony with your dad
there they are on the Registrar’s table
and for the announcement that you’re now legally married…
for the groom to carry when you have your hands full
for the couple shots in the garden
and the outdoor bridal close up
and the woodland couple shots
and the riverside shots
and for the groom to hold again as he helps you up the bank
and finally taking a well earned rest in the vase as the table centrepiece
phew…
So there we have it – a round up of most of the bridal bouquets we had here for May 2023. Beautiful aren’t they? And each of them different. Exactly as requested. Well actually in a lot of cases that’s not strictly true. One of the things I hear our brides say a lot is, ‘wow, so much better than I could ever have imagined.’ Here at Ever After we call that a job well done.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing more about the bouquet journey through an elopement day. Hit me up with any flower or other elopement questions – you’ll get me at [email protected], I’d love to hear from you!
