Charlotte and christian were married at bickleigh church before joining us at ever after for the rest of their classic english garden wedding day in early may.
Guests were brought to the venue after the church ceremony on our free bus service and were welcomed with pimms in the wedding barn whilst they waited for the bride and groom to arrive.
Charlotte wore a beautiful wedding dress by Darlia Karlozi from darling gowns down the road from us in Yelverton. Their colour scheme was a mix of pale pinks and greens with the bridesmaids dressed in long pale mint green gowns.
After the drinks reception, guests moved into the wedding marquee where round tables had been set up with our pale sage table cloths. The wedding breakfast included black pudding scotch egg, ham hock followed by a main course of fillet of corn fed chicken or slow cooked beef rib tip, both served with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, carrots, creamed leeks & bacon with red wine jus followed by for dessert, meringues with lemon curd clotted cream or summer trifle. Charlotte’s mum made the wedding cake which was on display during the wedding breakfast.
Speeches followed the wedding breakfast before guests headed to the terrace for tea and coffee. Charlotte & christian had an honesty bar for the evening with suggested drinks prices displayed at the bar. Evening guests arrived to join the party with ‘the one night’ band providing the music. after a sparkler tunnel in the garden, guests enjoyed a selection of mini fish & chips in paper cones, pulled pork baps & chips, and courgette & chips, all cooked on site by our resident caterers.
