Guests arrived at 2pm for Victoria and Mike’s wedding, and enjoyed a glass of prosecco or elderflower fizz until being ushered into the wedding barn for the ceremony at 3pm.
Victoria walked down the aisle with her father, following her bridesmaids and flower girls who went first. Their ceremony music was provided by DJ Sebastian from off beat entertainment.
Following the ceremony, guests were guided to the lawns where Vicky & Mike had their confetti throw, and the drinks reception commenced. Their drink selection included; pimms, bottled beer, bottled cider, and cucumber water. Their selection of canapés included; cream cheese and black olive croutes, chicken satay, mini sausage & wholegrain mustard mash, and courgette fritters. They had music from Sebastian playing throughout their drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
Vicky & Mike’s overall style for the day was natural, rustic, and boho, and they chose silver-grey tablecloths and ghost chairs for their wedding breakfast. Their centrepieces were copper lanterns with pillar candles, surrounded by an arrangement of driftwood. Rosie from Odds and Buds supplied peach and blush pink roses and a variety of succulents which were added amongst the driftwood. Rosie also decorated the ceremony arch with a mixture of foliage and roses. Vicky and Mike had painted a wooden palette to create a rustic looking ‘order of the day’, which Rosie decorated with ivy.
Their wedding breakfast took place at 5pm and consisted of a starter of either grilled marinated tofu with a chilli & ginger salad or goujons of sole with green mayonnaise. Their main course was a choice of beef rib tip with clotted cream mash and red cabbage in a red wine sauce or wild mushroom stroganoff with sticky rice. To finish, they had a warm chocolate fudge cake with salted caramel ice cream, Creme brule with lavender biscuit, or honey and thyme roasted peaches.
Guests enjoyed tea and coffee on the terrace, and Vicky & Mike cut their wedding cake (made by Vicky’s mum) before having their first dance. They had an evening buffet of grilled halloumi and chips or pulled pork baps and chips, and Sebastian DJ’d for them until 12.30am.
