Real elopement wedding – Julie & Jordan, March 2022

I’m back with another real elopement wedding from last month.   This is Julie & Jordan who booked with us only 4 months before their wedding date.   As we provide pretty much everything you need in the elopement package, 4 months is plenty of time to get everything organised and ready.

They had 6 guests at their wedding and our elopement photographer was on hand to get some pre-ceremony shots.   Bride Julie got ready in the honeymoon cottage with her Mum on hand to help with her dress.

Originally Julie asked our elopement florist Amanda of Flowers et al for a bouquet in burgundy and chalk colours.   She had a handy set of inspiration pics which she sent over to Amanda to give her an idea of the flower style she wanted.   Julie later re- jigged her flower colours slightly to blush and ivory.   Here they are – aren’t they super yummy…?

Groom Jordan got ready in the annexe with his best men on hand for last minute words of wisdom (maybe).

Every bride should be looked at like Jordan looked at Julie…

After the wedding ceremony, we popped the champagne corks and it was down to the terrace for a drinks reception with canapes prepared by our elopement caterers, Taylors of Tavistock.  The selection included smoked Cornish duck with prune & poached pear and sweet potato cake with avodado, tomato and chilli salsa.  Yum.

Clare took Julie & Jordan off for their couple pics around the gardens and in the woods.   Julie & Jordan had booked Clare for an extra hour so they had plenty of time for all the photos they wanted of them and their guests without feeling rushed.

On their return, we’d set up a round table for 8 on the terrace, dressed with a silver grey table cloth, a cream voile overcloth and one of our vintage embroidered linen top cloths.   Blush pink water glasses, copper edged charger plates and a touch of burgundy with the napkins secured with mother of pearl napkin rings.  Crystal glasses, blush and rose gold tea lights, our bentwood chairs with ivory velvet seat pads and the bridal bouquet as the centrepiece finished off the table setting.

The semi naked victoria sponge cake by Harrie at Boo To A Goose was displayed on a log slice on top of our wood and marble cake stand with a selection of blush pink, frosted and ivory tealights.   Soft taupe linen napkins with cake forks, our Spode Glen Lodge stag plates and wood cake knife were ready for cake service later, on top of another of our vintage table cloths.

Another beautiful March day for this wedding.  We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely couple for this gorge elopement.
