Elopement wedding ideas
Part 1; Sophie, Pepe and the paper cranes
There is something extraordinarily magical about an intimate elopement wedding, and they are becoming increasingly popular. If you think you can’t have all the finishing touches as with a traditional larger wedding; you couldn’t be more wrong.
Here at Ever After, our elopement weddings are different and unique to every couple who bring their own individual style. What would yours be?
Follow our 3-part blog post series for elopement wedding ideas and inspiration, aiming to inspire you for your own wedding and prove that less guest numbers doesn’t have to mean less style!
Sophie and Pepe decorated their ceremony barn and reception space with these gorgeously colourful paper cranes all of which Sophie (and a few handy friends!) painstakingly hand-made…
From their chosen flower colours of blue and yellow, we picked out our powder blue napkins to compliment the buttercream tablecloths… Not forgetting more of the all-important curtains of paper cranes which added some of that glorious colour to their wedding breakfast space.
Make your wedding flowers work hard for you; how wonderful does Sophie’s wedding bouquet look as the table’s centrepiece?
To finish off, their miniature wedding cake – made by Boo To A Goose – was kept beautifully simple and livened up by a selection of flowers which drew the centrepiece bouquet and vibrant paper cranes together in a simple but effective way. Petals scattered on the cake table added to the colour and texture, heightening the senses and rounding off their overall style.
