One September 2023 date
Ah September, not far off now – I know, can you believe that?
September is a lovely time to get married here, the leaves just beginning to turn, the first hints of autumn but usually still lovely and warm during the day and the excuse to cosy up round the fire as the late summer evenings draw in – ah I can just see it now.
That date? It’s Thursday 28th September 2023. So the end of September, a bit closer to October than August.
September elopements at Ever After

As the last date is at the end of the season I wanted to feature a wedding from the end of September to give you the best idea about how it all looks.
Let’s look at Sam & Dave’s elopement from the third week of September 2022. They got married outdoors on the riverwalk with their dog Mabel and of course the lil guest who hadn’t fully arrived yet as Sam was expecting their baby… 
You can just see the leaves are starting to turn colour on the trees on the lower lawn but it was still plenty warm enough for an outdoor reception after the ceremony under the acer.
The pots of flowers on the apex have got that end of the summer wildness about them
Sam picked succulents and sage greens and neutrals for her flowers and styling colours. Our elopement florist created the succulent hair clip and our usual bridal hair stylist (Tavistock Hair Lounge) did the fab updo on Sam’s gorgeous hair.
The under cover terrace was overflowing with planted flowers and greenery – everything lasts a big longer under here because of it’s protected from the elements. Just to note the tree you see in the pic below was taken out at the end of the 2022 season to give more useable room for elopements on the terrace so that’s no longer there but you now have a great view out over the green of the lawn now where it used to be.
