We’re not a hotel so we don’t have a lot of wedding guest accommodation on site here at the venue. We have our fabulous honeymoon cottage of course – there are not many venues where you get your own house, all to yourself and designed exclusively for newly weds. In case you need a reminder this is the cottage:
We have a huge amount of accommodation nearby for your wedding guests to make their own choice. From top of the range country house hotels to boutique B&B’s through to self-catering and camping – there’s something nearby to suit all budgets.
So when we found out that the lovely Bryony & Bertie who own Cider House B&B, (one of the only luxury B&B’s in the heart of a National Trust historic property) have added a couple of super-luxe shepherd’s huts to their accommodation, we wanted to know more. Bryony & Bertie believe in providing the best of the best for their guests in everything they do and they have achieved that again with these gorgeous shepherd’s huts. I’ve seen plenty of shepherd’s huts over the last few years as they have become increasingly popular for alternative accommodation. But I have never seen anything like these! Can I just say, roll top bath, king size bed, wood burning stove and a star gazer roof…
They’re called StarBeds and when you see the photos, you’ll realise why this is such a perfect name for them.
You can lie in bed looking at the stars – how perfect is that for a romantic night?
Bryony & Bertie have thought of everything – doors opening onto the rolling countryside on the Buckland Abbey National Trust land…
Each hut is actually two huts ingeniously joined together so there is room for a kitchen and dining area…
and yep, look at these fab pics of the roll top bath and wood burning stove…
And no, that’s not a painting on the wall, that is your real live view…
The space outside the huts has been landscaped to provide the perfect spot in the evening for a glass of wine around the fire pit.
There are two of these huts available for a minimum of a 2 night stay from March this year. More details and more fab pics are available on the StarBeds website which has more details like the onsite wine and dine facilities.
The lovely S and I will be trying out one of these fab huts ourselves in March so we can let you know exactly what the experience is like.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s even more! If your wedding guests book both of these huts for 2 nights, Bryony and Bertie will arrange free transport from their property to us here at Ever After AND transport back again to the huts at the end of the night. That offer also applies to a block booking of all 4 rooms at the Cider House – book all the rooms and the wedding transport is provided free of charge.
So take a look at StarBeds and Cider House and book your wedding guest accommodation now!
