A happy bride
It’s Valentine’s Day so today we’re talking love and getting hitched (no change there then).
The best way to find out exactly how it feels to have your elopement wedding here at Ever After is to hear directly from a couple who chose us. I always so appreciate it when our couples take the time to say how their day was and how it actually felt. Some write a few lines with lots of thanks and some people really take a lot of care about what they say and we really love getting those.
We work hard to make the best wedding here for you and to hear that we succeeded is what it’s all about for us.
Helen and Andy got married just a few weeks ago but we’ve already got their gorgeous photos back and the most lovely review from them.

“I just wanted to email you to say a massive thank you for making our wedding the most unbelievably perfect day!
We had the most beautiful elopement wedding last Monday and we feel like we are still on such a high from how perfect the day was. It’s all we ever talk about now and I feel like I just don’t want it to be over! I want to go back and do it all again. It felt like a dream and I thank you and your team for creating such a wonderful day for us. I can see how hard you all worked to make our day feel special. I can only imagine the amount of work that is put into each elopement and wedding but you all made it look absolutely effortless. You are honestly the most friendly, talented, creative and special bunch of human beings! What you managed to create for us is far beyond what I could have ever dreamed our wedding day would be. From the very first email enquiring about potential wedding dates to the last hug goodbye with you as we left as a married couple, Andy and I have been blown away by how easy and straightforward it has all been. I feel as though we haven’t lifted a finger yet somehow you and your team managed to create a beautiful wedding that was exactly to our taste and we felt like it represented us as a couple. Everything from the flowers, the food, the wedding pictures, the cake, the decor screamed Andy and Helen! I’m amazed and so touched that you were all able to create exactly what I had in my mind, except better.
The morning of my wedding was calm and happy and filled with so many laughs.
Amanda, the wonderful florist made the most georgeous wedding flowers that I could have ever imagined. A truly talented lady who is so passionate about what she does. She was so warm and chatty too which really took my mind off my pre-wedding nerves.
Jess, the fantastic makeup artist worked her magic and made me feel beautiful for the day.
Jodie, the hilarious and very kind hairdresser made me feel like true bride on my wedding morning. I loved the beautiful updo she created. She made me laugh a lot and even gave me a much needed prep talk when the nerves kicked in before seeing Andy for the first time. She really gave me some lovely wedding morning memories that I will treasure forever.
Clare is one extremely gifted lady. Truly the most impressive photographer – Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning and I find it simply incredible how comfortable she made two very camera shy people feel in front of the camera. I’m so shocked at how much fun we had taking our wedding pictures and I was actually sad when it was all over.
Emma, for all her help especially in the honeymoon cottage. It was so nice to come back and find it was spotless after the wedding. What a lovely surprise that was. Also, for helping us with our wedding music.
Harrie, the very talented chef. Our food so yummy. I know I said it on the day but thank you so much for putting so much effort into making such a special meal for us. I probably ate way more than I should have because it was just so delicious. Our cake was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Steven, thank you for your warm welcome when we arrived. You’re very kind and you made us feel very comfortable when you welcomed us. The honeymoon cottage was unbelievable.. the decor is stunning! Nicola, you have impeccable taste. We enjoyed our time there so much and you and Steven made us feel like it was our home. Thank you.
Our elopement suited us perfectly. No fussy guests. No stress. No drama. Just Andy and I making a lifelong commitment to each other. It felt so meaningful. I was so focused on Andy the entire time while we were saying our vows that I didn’t even notice how beautifully it was decorated until we sat down to sign the register. Honestly Nicola, it was the best day of my life. Thank you for everything.
I really appreciated your kind words on our wedding morning. Your reassuring smile certainly helped when the emotions and nerves kicked in. I was shaking so much but you have a very calming nature. It was the most emotional, special, meaningful day and I credit you wonderful people for allowing it to be so. Andy and I are more grateful than you know! We will carry with us some fantastic memories of our wedding day. To put it simply, our day was flawless!

I wish you the best of luck in the future. I really hope your building work goes smoothly and settles down. You are one incredible lady to have all that stress going on while managaing to host fabulous weddings and elopements…I can only imagine the stress!
We are already beginning to talk about how we will do the vow renewal there (I know, I know probably a little too soon but we are already desperate to get back there!)
