real elopement; amber & dan
Last week, our elopement photographer, Clare Kinchin, wrote a blog post about our very own real elopement couple, Amber and Dan, which you can read here. This inspired me to tie-in with Clare’s post and give a 3-part breakdown of Amber and Dan’s real elopement wedding…
The outfits…
I love a wedding dress (have you guessed that yet?) and I especially love a bespoke handmade one. Amber made her wedding dress (yes, really!) and this fantastic two-piece wonder was the result.
And to accessorise, Amber had some super cute unicorn shoes and a sparkly silver starry headpiece…
Gorgeous! And it wasn’t just Amber who was sporting the silver sparkles at this real elopement… Her daughter wore the daintiest little silver shoes and a sparkly headband to match. Plus super fabulous silver sparkly tights! (Are you starting to notice a theme here…?).
And I loved her ivory dress with the super snug fluffy cardigan!
So cute!
Dan avoided the silver sparkles and opted for a navy blue suit with a navy waistcoat and orange tie, making for a lovely contrast against the girls’ outfits…
The flowers
It’s always a dream looking at the flowers Amanda Randell creates for our real elopement couples, and Amber and Dan’s was no exception!
I love how well it sits against her dress. The bouquet was then used as their wedding breakfast table centrepiece.
And not forgetting Dan and his matching buttonhole…
Amanda also provided the cake flowers for their elopement wedding cake, but we’ll get to that in a moment…
The food
Harrie from Boo to a Goose is our super talented elopement chef and she crafts everything from the canapés to the wedding breakfast to the miniature wedding cake for our real elopement weddings. How good do these nibbles look?!
Amber and Dan opted for a naked wedding cake and made it unique and personal with the addition of gold bride and groom dinosaurs!
And of course those stunning flowers from Amanda I mentioned earlier.
I can’t decide if Amber and Dan’d daughter is after the cake or the dinosaurs? Tough choice if you ask me!
