We’ve got too much to show you to fit into one blog post (no kidding…view a map of our grounds here). So here goes! Let’s take a look at the woods, glade walk and waterfall garden. Part 2 of our woodland wedding picture tour…
The Glade Walk
Our glade walk is on the way to the woods and until recently, it was the ‘wildest’ corner of the garden. But as Nicola and Steven are perfectionist, they transformed it. Nicola has planted the walk with beautiful plants (to name a few: hostas, camelia, foxgloves, magnolia and much more). Take a look for yourself…
The Woods
Down in our valley, we are surrounded by 46 acres of private land to wonder and explore. So if you want the perfect woodland wedding with photos to match, hitch up ya dress, put on ya wellies and take a gander into the woods.
If you’re looking for a woodland wedding with photos you will quite literally not be able to take anywhere else, take a look at our tin mine. Westdown mine is no longer working (obviously), but the chimney still stands and over the years acted as a scaffolding to lichen and moss. Sat snuggly next to it is the ruin of the old engine house – it really is an magical place. One of my favourite weddings from 2019 had a ceremony amongst our ancient woodlands…click here to see more on that!
The Waterfall Garden
A windy wood-chip path, planted up with roses, anemones and much more. The focal point of this slice of the garden is the pond and it’s charming bridge. The pond is fed by a waterfall, which flows down local stones. The walled beds are full with happy succulents!
